Featured Van: Trevor & Carmen’s AWD Ford Transit

When cycling is a way of life, your van needs to keep up. For Trevor and Carmen, avid bikers who spend their weekends chasing new trails and fresh scenery, a standard setup wasn’t going to cut it. They needed a camper that could carry everything—especially their three bikes—without compromising on comfort, style, or function.

That’s where their brand-new Ford Transit AWD comes in. Finished in a striking custom blue, fitted with rugged wheels and tyres, and designed around the couple’s love of adventure, this build is the perfect mix of practicality and polish. Every inch was purpose-built for how Trevor and Carmen want to travel: simply, efficiently, and with the freedom to go wherever the next ride takes them.

A few of our favourite things about this AWD Ford transit Conversion:

Space for three bikes—and everything else

The heart of this build is the garage. For Trevor and Carmen, the bikes come first, and rightly so. From the start, the goal was to create a garage space that could safely and neatly store all three bikes inside the van, without crowding the rest of the setup.

To make that happen, we designed custom cabinetry with precise cutouts to accommodate each bike’s handlebars, ensuring a perfect fit and preventing any damage in transit. Every part of the garage was planned to maximise usability, with storage and systems integrated cleanly around the bikes. It’s not just about space—it’s about smart space.

The result? An effortless setup. The bikes slide in and out with ease, protected from the elements, and always ready to go. It’s a design that keeps the couple’s lifestyle at the centre, making it easier to load up, hit the road, and focus on what they love doing most.

Function first: a bed that works with their day

Inside, the focus was flexibility. Trevor and Carmen wanted a big, comfortable bed for long nights after a day on the trails, but they didn’t want that space to dominate the van when it wasn’t in use. The solution was a clever north-south pull-out bed system that extends to create a full queen-sized sleeping space when needed, and tucks away neatly during the day.

When retracted, it opens up the living and kitchen areas, making the van feel spacious and easy to move around in. It’s a setup that suits the way Trevor and Carmen actually live on the road: cooking and relaxing in the van after a long day’s ride just as much as sleeping in it.

Access was another key priority. With a walk-through access from the cab, side, and rear, and an internal opening to the garage under the bed, the whole space flows naturally. Every feature has a purpose, every detail considered—right down to the sleek new Scanstrut USB chargers for a modern finish.

Rugged outside, refined inside

On the outside, Trevor and Carmen’s van is as tough as it looks. The brand-new AWD Ford Transit is finished with upgraded wheels and tyres for a bolder, more capable stance, ready for gravel, dirt, and everything in between. A Rhino roof rack adds storage and functionality, while solar panels and an EcoFlow power kit with an additional 5kWh battery deliver serious off-grid capability—perfect for remote stays after long rides.

It’s a van that works hard and looks good doing it. From the clean cabinetry inside to the rugged exterior upgrades, this build balances form and function at every turn. Trevor’s attention to detail set a high bar for finishes, and we made sure every element met the mark—from tidy joins and smooth surfaces to systems that run quietly and efficiently.

For Trevor and Carmen, this van isn’t just a vehicle—it’s the foundation for a lifestyle built around freedom, movement, and time spent outside. It’s their first campervan, but you can tell it won’t be their last adventure. Wherever the road (or the trail) leads next, this van is ready to go there with them.
