But here's the thing — they’d never done a van conversion before, and living #vanlife was a new adventure in itself. That’s where we came in. Andrew and Reza wanted guidance, expertise, and a team that shared their passion for quality and thoughtful design. They came to us because they appreciated the details, from the power systems to the finishes, and wanted a van that was built to last — one that could keep up with their off-grid lifestyle and still offer all the comforts of home. With some serious off-grid power plans, we got to work bringing their dream to life.

Aesthetic Design:
Harmonizing Function with Style

One of the key elements in Andrew and Reza’s van design was creating an interior that felt calm, comfortable, and grounded in nature. They wanted their space to reflect the beautiful landscapes they’d be exploring, so we worked together to select a colour palette that tied everything together. The design centres around natural greens, wood tones, and sleek grey accents — all chosen to evoke a sense of tranquillity while still feeling rugged enough for the adventures ahead. The decision to go with dark grey on the inside was intentional, as it mirrored the van’s exterior colour, blending the inside and outside seamlessly. This van needed to look like a true adventure vehicle — both inside and out — and it had to be a place they could enjoy off-grid, no matter where the road took them.

Off-Grid Capabilities for the Ultimate Freedom

When it comes to vanlife, one of the most important factors is power — and for Andrew and Reza, they needed the best. They wanted a system that would allow them to stay off-grid for extended periods without worrying about running out of power. We outfitted their van with our most powerful Ecoflow power kit yet, a 10kW system capacity — the largest we’ve ever installed in a van. This impressive power setup allows them to maximise their off-grid time and enjoy their adventures without being tied to a campsite or electrical hookup. The system includes four smaller solar panels, carefully spaced on the roof to ensure they fit perfectly without compromising the van's aesthetics. And because they have dogs and need to keep water on hand at all times, we integrated a top-tier water system that can syphon and filter water from rivers, streams, or anywhere they might be off the beaten path. Whether they’re deep in the wilderness or exploring an urban area, they’ll have fresh, clean water for themselves and their pups.

Exterior Features: Built for Function and Adventure

For Andrew and Reza, it wasn’t just about the inside of the van — the exterior had to be just as functional and rugged. This project was the first time we went all out to enhance the van’s exterior functionality — super exciting. From a heavy-duty nudge bar and winch to exterior lighting and an upgraded wheel and tyre package, this van is ready for whatever rough terrain comes its way. We also added a powered awning, a rear door tyre carrier, and a storage box for all the gear Andrew and Reza will need for their adventures. A ladder and recovery equipment were added to ensure that off-road obstacles can be navigated with confidence. To top it off, a roof rack was installed to carry extra gear or provide additional storage options when they're really off the grid. Every exterior feature was carefully chosen for maximum functionality, and with all these additions, their van looks as ready for adventure as they feel.
