Featured Van: George’s Toyota Hiace ZX Campervan Conversion

Van life isn’t just about travel; it’s about creating a space that feels like home. We recently converted a 6th Generation Hiace ZX for George, a builder and weekend warrior with a love of modern minimalism and beautiful timber. Needing thoughtful storage and layout solutions, he came to us looking for a practical design that didn’t compromise on aesthetics.

A few of our favourite things about this Toyota Hiace ZX Campervan Conversion:

Creating a dream space

George envisioned a van that embodied his love for natural materials. He wanted every surface—from the walls and roof to the cabinetry—crafted from wood. Our team embraced this vision, delivering a rustic yet clean vibe throughout the interior. The addition of black accents for handles, cushions, and tapware added a modern touch, enhancing the overall aesthetic while keeping it cohesive and stylish.

Storage solutions

Functionality was a key priority for George, and we made sure our Hiace ZX conversion provided ample storage solutions tailored to his needs. With customisable options, George was able to select storage solutions that fit perfectly into the layout, ensuring he had a place for everything.

Customer service

Throughout the build process, we sent George progress shots after he asked to be involved. As a builder, he was interested in the campervan construction and found the updates a great way to see what was going on. While some clients prefer the surprise of a grand reveal, George enjoyed the journey of watching his van come to life step by step.

In the end, this conversion was more than just a functional vehicle; it was a reflection of George’s lifestyle and design preferences. We’re proud to have crafted a space that blends comfort, style, and practicality—perfect for the weekend warrior ready to hit the road!
