Featured Van: Molly’s Volkswagen Crafter Campervan Conversion
Molly knew exactly what she wanted her Volkswagen Crafter conversion to look like and we were happy to make it happen. With a blank canvas and plenty of space to work with, we turned Molly’s Crafter into a home on wheels.
A few of our favourite things about this VW Crafter Campervan Conversion:
Custom everything (well, nearly)
Molly wanted her campervan conversion to be different, so we created a layout and fitout that’s custom to her. A fixed bed was important, so a queen size mattress was added for maximum comfort. The fixed bed allows for plenty of storage space underneath, so we completed the space with a pull out drawer slide – perfect for easily grabbing gear, clothes, and extra food without having to scramble into the ‘garage’.

Those details
To meet the new self-contained camping regulations, we added a composting toilet in the seating area. Molly wanted it to be fully integrated, so custom squabs were built to allow toilet access, saving on space and allowing a streamlined look.
Molly’s kitchen is a Blum Space twin pull out pantry model, a quality, double-stacked, pull-out kitchen cabinet that makes storing cutting boards, spices, and more a breeze. We mounted the bench top with an outlet for easy access, meaning plugging in an appliance or charging a laptop is easy.
Outside add-ons
We kitted out the external area of the campervan with tools that make vanlife a heck of a lot easier. The Front Runner roof rack was a first for us and essential for adding a bit more storage space to Molly’s campervan. We love how durable and lightweight their racks are, providing a stable space to strap things down to without compromising the van’s streamlined look or rooftop. We also added a Thule awning which helps keep out both New Zealand’s blinding sun and drizzly rain.

With a streamlined layout, custom design, and quality products, Molly’s Volkswagen Crafter conversion is a dream for life — or weekends — on the road.
